The school district has developed instructional models that meet state requirements for instructional minutes 和 Senate Bill 98, 这需要每天, 生活指导. In an era of declining enrollment 和 budget uncertainty, these instructional models also meet the needs of 学生及家长 和 keep them in our district, while considering the needs of our teachers 和 staff. Prior to the 7月y 2 start of negotiations, the school district reviewed survey data 和 convened advisory committees that included representation from TALB, CSEA, 其他员工, 学生及家长. The most recent negotiation session was today.

These instructional models provide a framework for teachers to use in delivering a high quality learning experience that sets high expectations 和 is consistent across schools. This consistency is one of the hallmarks of the school district.

讨价还价的 teams are scheduling additional sessions to work toward an agreement. 与此同时, five days of paid professional development are being planned to include instruction on the new learning management system, synchronous 和 asynchronous pedagogy, 和 addressing students’ social emotional needs upon return to school. The school district will continue to provide updates on future negotiation sessions.
